SOBRE

Tomás Bustamante es licenciado en Derecho por la Universidad Federal de Juiz de Fora (2000), maestría en Derecho por la Universidad Estatal de Río de Janeiro (2003) y doctorado en Derecho por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Río de Janeiro ( 2007), con un período de investigación en la Universidad de Edimburgo, Reino Unido, como becario CAPES. Actualmente es Profesor Asociado de la Universidad Federal de Minas Gerais, donde fue Coordinador del Programa de Postgrado en Derecho Stricto Sensu entre 2019 y 2021. Fue Profesor de la Universidad de Aberdeen, en Reino Unido (2008 a 2010). , y Profesor Adjunto de la Universidad Federal de Juiz de Fora (2004 a 2008). Proyectos de Investigación coordinados financiados por CNPQ, FAPEMIG, CAPES y CNJ. Es becario de productividad en investigación del CNPQ – PQ-Nivel 1-D. También recibió recursos del programa Investigador Mineiro – PPM VIII (2014), de la FAPEMIG. Realizó (de marzo de 2015 a febrero de 2016) una pasantía postdoctoral en la USP, con beca de la FAPESP. Fue Global Research Fellow en NYU (New York University) desde septiembre de 2020 hasta diciembre de 2021, siendo parte de esta Fellowship financiada por el programa Visiting Professors de la Comisión Fulbright (EE.UU.). Tiene experiencia en el área del Derecho, con énfasis en Filosofía del Derecho, trabajando también en los siguientes temas: Teoría del Derecho, Filosofía Política, Filosofía Moral, Teorías de la Argumentación Jurídica, Hermenéutica Jurídica y Derecho Constitucional.
