Doctor of Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2002) and Master of Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1990). Dean Professor in the Area of Constitutional Law. Professor in the Graduate Program (Political Law/Electoral Law, Master’s and Doctorate) and Undergraduate Program (Electoral Law) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Has experience in the field of Law, with an emphasis on Electoral Law, working mainly on the following topics: Political Law, Human Rights Education, Electoral Law, Theory of War, Game Theory, Political Justice, History of Law, and Brazilian Constitutional Process. Member of COEP/UFMG (Research Ethics Committee, from 2007 to 2020) and the Special Committee on COVID-19 (from 2020 to 2022). Was Secretary of the Brazilian Journal of Political Studies (under the Direction of Prof. Dr. Orlando M. Carvalho, from 1992 to August 13, 1998, the day of his death) and Vice-Director of the UFMG Law School Journal from August 5, 2010 to April 2011, when she decided to step down. Member of the International Network of Chairs, Institutions, and Personalities on the Study of Public Debt (RICDP).
