Visiting Fellow

The UFMG PhD and Master’s Program in Law welcomes visiting researchers and professors from all fields of knowledge, holders of a Doctoral degree, who are already affiliated with other institutions in Brazil or abroad.

To be accredited as a visiting professor at the PPGD UFMG, interested parties must submit a request to the Collegiate Board, via email at pos@direito.ufmg.br, with the following documents: 1) a copy of the doctoral diploma; 2) proof of employment with a research or postgraduate institution; 3) authorization from the affiliated institution to conduct a visiting period at PPGD UFMG, specifying the period; 4) a work plan; 5) consent or invitation letter from the visit supervisor, among the faculty members of the Program’s permanent staff.

The work plan may include research activities, organization of academic activities in collaboration with a faculty member from the permanent staff, and offering a course.

Visiting periods at PPGD UFMG take place within the framework of collaborations between educational and research institutions with the aim of fostering inter-institutional projects and joint production among their faculty, with no remuneration or scholarship provided by UFMG.

Vacancies for Visiting Professors with remuneration, when available, are offered exclusively through public calls, with a selection process and previously guaranteed resources.
