Full Professor of Criminal Law at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), teaching undergraduate and graduate courses . Civilian Judge at the Military Court of Justice of the State of Minas Gerais, occupying a position reserved for the “quinto constitucional” of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship with approval in the Graduate Program in Law at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2018). Completed a second doctorate in the graduate program of the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2014). Holds a Master’s degree in Law from Gama Filho University – RJ (1993) and a specialization in philosophy – lato sensu postgraduate degree – (2012) from the same university. Graduated in Law from Cândido Mendes University – RJ (1988). Coordinator of the research line “Power, citizenship and development in the democratic state of law” and coordinator of the collective research project “Contemporary Criminal Law” of the Graduate Program in Law at the Faculty of Law of UFMG, leader of the research groups “Criminal compliance” and “Criminal liability of legal entities”, registered with the CNPq. Has experience in the field of Law, with emphasis on Criminal Law, Human Rights and Environmental Law, working mainly on the following topics: criminal law, military criminal law, environmental criminal law and economic criminal law.
