ABOUT
PhD in Labor Law from USP Law School (2017), supervised by Jorge Luiz Souto Maior, with dissertation approved with honors and distinction. Master’s degree in Labor Law (2012, approved with honors) and bachelor’s degree in Law (2008) from the same institution. Guest researcher, in a postdoctoral position, at CéSor/EHESS/CNRS, under the supervision of Michael Löwy (2018), and at the Federal University of Bahia, under the supervision of Lawrence Estivalet (2023-2024). Lead researcher of the Labor and Capital Research Group (GPTC-USP) and coordinator of Interpretar e Transformar o Brasil – Núcleo de Estudos (IeTB-UFMG). Coordinates the outreach project Assessoria Jurídica Universitária e Popular – AJUP-UFMG. He is a member of the Institute for Research, Rights and Social Movements – IPDMS, having been part of its national secretariat (2020-2022). He was director of ADUFLA-Trade Union Section (2017-2019), 1st secretary of the Eastern Region and in charge of Legal Affairs at ANDES-SN (2020-2023), a trade union entity that he currently chairs (2023-2025). He coordinated a research team on serious human rights violations committed by the Fiat company during the Brazilian corporate-military dictatorship (1964-1985), in collaboration with CAAF/UNIFESP and financed by the TAC signed between Volkswagen and the MPF. Was part of a research team on massacres in the countryside during the New Republic period, led by IPDMS and the Pastoral Land Commission. Was a professor at the Federal University of Lavras (2016-2019) and several other educational institutions, having practiced popular advocacy prior to his entry into the federal public service.
