ABOUT

Associate Professor at the Law School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a permanent faculty member of the Ph.D. and Master’s Programs in Law. She completed her Post-doctorate at the University of Brasília (UnB) in 2021, under the supervision of Professor Gabriela Neves Delgado. She holds a PhD in Labor Law from UFMG and a Master’s degree from PUC Minas, where she was advised by Professor Maurício Godinho Delgado. In 2015, together with Professor of Criminal Law Carlos Haddad, she created the interdisciplinary extension, research, and teaching project, the Slave Labor and Human Trafficking Clinic (CTETP). Since then, she has coordinated the project, which has already assisted more than 300 victims of slave labor and human trafficking, produced 6 research studies, and trained more than 1,000 undergraduate students to work on the topic. She is also the President of the Commission to Combat Contemporary Slave Labor of the OAB/MG, a lawyer, and the author of books and articles, mainly involving the themes of slave labor, human trafficking, and gender.
