ABOUT
Holds a Master’s and a Doctorate in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, completed Postdoctoral Research at Goethe Universität in Frankfurt Am Main and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Is an Associate Professor in the Department of Law and Criminal Procedure at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, teaching in the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs of the UFMG Faculty of Law. Was a member of the UFMG University Council and a full member of the UFMG Graduate Program Board. Has experience in the field of Law, with an emphasis on Criminal Law, working mainly on the following topics: theory of crime, constitutional approach to criminal law, and economic crimes. Is a member of the Editorial Board of Editora Nuria Fabris and the Juris Magazine of the Faculty of Law of the University of Rio Grande. Member of the Brazilian Group of the International Association of Criminal Law, the Brazilian Institute of Criminal Sciences, the Institute of Lawyers of Minas Gerais, and the Institute of Criminal Sciences. Has several articles published in national and specialized newspapers and magazines, highlighting in his bibliographic production the books “New Study on the Awareness of Illegality”, published by Nuria Fabris, “Economic Criminality in Debate”, also published by Nuria Fabris, and “On the Strict Fulfillment of Legal Duty”, published by Sergio Antonio Fabris Editor.
