ABOUT

Research and Outreach Director of the Polos de Cidadania Program. Member of the UFMG Transdisciplinary Research Network on Children, Adolescents and Young People, of the UFMG Institute for Advanced Transdisciplinary Studies (IEAT-UFMG). Postdoctoral Fellow at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, with a CNPq scholarship. Graduated in Law (UFMG 1996), Master’s Degree in Social and Political Philosophy (UFMG 2000) and Doctorate in Constitutional Law (UFMG 2006). She was a Resident Professor (August 2016 to July 2017) and a Member of the Steering Committee (August 2018 to August 2022) at IEAT-UFMG. She was Deputy Coordinator (2011-2013) and Coordinator (2013-2015) of the Postgraduate Law Programme at UFMG. My main theoretical interests are in the areas of Legal Sociology, Philosophy and Theory of Law, working mainly on the following themes: time and space in law, civil disobedience, urban and socio-environmental conflicts, intersecting with their class, race, gender, and spatial developments. These researches analyse the structural historical persistence of inequalities reflected in these conflicts. The research also addresses legal education, legal research, knowledge production, epistemology and methodologies capable of dismantling the scientific foundations of an indolent law; coloniality of knowledge, being and power; decolonisation; transdisciplinarity and performativity.
