Holds a Bachelor’s degree (February 1985) and a Doctorate in Law (December 1992), both from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, with a thesis entitled “Equity in the Formation and Conformation of Judicial Norms.” Retired Judge of the 3rd Region Labor Court in Brazil. Is a Full Professor of Legal Theory at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Is the Vice-Director of the Faculty of Law at UFMG (2018-2022 and 2022-2026). Produces and presents the program “Direito é música” (Law is music), currently broadcast on the radio. Was a resident professor at the Institute of Transdisciplinary Advanced Studies at the Federal University of Minas Gerais from March 2009 to February 2010. Was a visiting professor at Université Laval/Quebec/Canada. Is a member of the Research Ethics Committee at UFMG. Since August 2016, she has been teaching the course “Methodological Seminars of Line 2” in the Graduate Program(for the first two years in collaboration with Professor Miracy Gustin).
