ABOUT

Natália Cristina Chaves holds a bachelor’s degree (2002), master’s degree (2005) and doctorate (2011) in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, with a focus on Business Law. Professor of Business Law at the UFMG Law School. Is currently developing research in the Project “Law, Technology and Innovation – DTI UFMG”. Partner at the law firm Passos e Chaves Sociedade de Advogados, she works as a lawyer, judicial administrator and liquidator in the State of Minas Gerais and is an arbitrator at Cames Brasil (Specialized Mediation and Arbitration Chamber). She is a member of the following entities: IBR (Brazilian Institute of Business Recovery Studies); INSOL (International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency Bankruptcy Professionals) and IWIRC (International Womens Insolvency Restructuring Confederation). She is the Coordinator of the Insolvency Committee of the Center for Studies of Law Firms and former President of the Business Law Committee of the OAB/MG (01/2019 to 12/2021). She is the author of several legal articles and books in the area of ​​Civil Law and Business Law.
