ABOUT

Nathalia Lipovetsky is a Professor at UFMG Law School and a member of the Ph.D. and Master’s in Law Programs at UFMG. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from UFMG, where she is also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. She is currently on leave to conduct research as an Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Law and Social Justice at the University of Liverpool, in the United Kingdom. She coordinates the Gender, Work, and Inequality Study and Research Group and is also Deputy Coordinator of the University Program for Support of Labor Relations and Justice Administration – PRUNART-UFMG. Her research focuses on gender inequalities in the world of work and economics, particularly issues such as the sexual division of professional and domestic-reproductive labor, the wage gap, the feminization of poverty, and the impact of unpaid domestic and care work on Brazil’s GDP. She is a member of the collective projects “Gender, Sexuality, and Law” and “Justice Administration, Governance, and Public Policies” of UFMG’s Graduate Program in Law, as well as the International Network of Chairs, Institutions, and Personalities on the Study of Public Debt, which hosts the international collective project Feminism & Debt.
