ABOUT
Holds a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Law from UFMG, having conducted part of his doctoral research at the Institut de la Pensée Contemporaine of the Université Paris VII (France). Was a visiting researcher at the Fondation Maison de Sciences de L’Homme (France) in 2013 and at the Faculty of Law of the University of Kent (United Kingdom) in 2015 and 2017. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship as a visiting professor in the Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies Department at Duke University (USA) in 2019 and 2020. Is a member of the collective projects “Gender, Sexuality and Law” and “Philosophy of Power and Radical Thought” of the Graduate Program in Law at UFMG, the international project “Revaluing Care in the Global Economy,” developed at Duke University, and the international project “Who cares? Rebuilding care in a post-pandemic world,” funded by the Trans-Atlantic Platform for Social Sciences and Humanities and several other national and international institutions. Director of Diverso UFMG – Legal Clinic for Gender and Sexual Diversity since 2014. Conducts and supervises research on LGBTI+ Rights and Women’s Rights, from queer and feminist theoretical perspectives. Currently developing research on the legal regulation of sex and sexuality.
