ABOUT

Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2000) and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences (2005). Doctorate in Legal Theory from PUC MG. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Legal Theory at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has experience in the field of Philosophy, with an emphasis on Epistemology, Philosophy of Language, Ethics, and Political Philosophy; and in Philosophy of Law with an emphasis on Theory of Justice, Theory of Legal Argumentation, Legal Theory, and Legal Hermeneutics, working mainly on the following topics: normativity, neopragmatism, inferentialism, rational justification of action norms, practical rationality, agency, legal positivism, and post-positivism.
