Seminários Permanentes de Pesquisa do PPGD – Dra. Serena Natile – Kent Law School – 22/11 -18:00h

No dia 22 de novembro, quarta-feira, o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direito receberá a Professora Serena Natile, doutora pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Kent (Kent Law School) e pós-doutoranda na King’s College London, em atividade dos Seminários Permanentes de Pesquisa do PPGD e do Projeto colaborativo de pesquisa “Inclusionary Practice, Law and Regulation“, entre a UFMG e Universidade de Kent, Reino Unido.

Na ocasião, a Dra. Natile falará sobre sua agenda de pesquisa nas instituições do Reino Unido, bem como experiência na área da advocacia internacional, particularmente na Representação Permanente da Itália para a UE e para o PNUD em Bruxelas, além de colaboração com organizações de direitos de gênero na Itália, Quênia, Gana e Uganda.

Currículo da Professora Serena Natile

Serena Natile is a Postdoctoral Researcher at King’s College London and an Associate Lecturer at Kent Law School, University of Kent, where she is the module convenor for Law and Social
Change. Her research interests lie in in the areas of law and development, feminist political economy, international migration, financial inclusion and digital humanitarianism. She is
currently completing a book based on her PhD thesis titled ‘Mobile Money, Gendered Walls: The Exclusionary Politics of Digital Financial Inclusion’. Besides her academic experience,
Serena has worked for the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union (Migration and Asylum unit) and for the UNDP in Brussels and collaborated with various
gender rights organisations in Italy, Kenya, Ghana and Uganda.
